The Meade County Education & Career Center and Elizabethtown Community & Technical College presented Graduation 2006 for students who had earned their general equivalency diplomas (GEDs). Dr. Linda Thomas-Glover, provost of ECTC, delivered the commencement address and encouraged the graduates to choose life, and to make choices which result in positive outcomes for them and for others.
“In life we find what we look for,” she said. “If you look for negativity, you’ll find it. If you look for life, you’ll find it.” Dr. Thomas-Glover then presented each GED graduate with their certificates, and State Rep. Gerry Lynn presented each with a commendation from the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
