The team from Meade County competed in the Special Olympics Regional Bowling Tournament in Louisville. The team did very well. Even more importantly, the athletes were well behaved and good sports. In short, they did a great job of representing Meade County.
If you see these student/athletes in the halls or in the community this week, congratulate them and wish them well at state (the first weekend in December in Lexington).
Countless volunteers put in long hours to make Special Olympics a success in Meade County, and the community continues to support this program. Without everyone, it wouldn’t be possible.
